MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Career Center Building Trades program recognized seven students who earned the status of Building Trades Elite.
Students earning BT Elite status are Mackenlee Fairall, Ethan Hull, Walter Greene, Johnny Bender, Gage Selby, Jason Butler, and Truman Chester.
Seventy-seven students from the program have now earned the designation since its inception.
BT Elite began in 2019-2020. The program’s criteria center around attendance, discipline, industry credentialing, and extracurricular activities. The program is completely company-sponsored.
“We appreciate the companies that have partnered with us on the BT Elite program. The BT Elite program gives students something to strive for each day. Our industry partners will continue to benefit from hiring a well-rounded and industry-prepared student,” said Joe Stallard, KCCC’s Building Trades instructor.
