Kaci Jean Ronai, our precious daughter, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 22, 2026, just shy of four months old.
Although her time with us was far too short, it was filled with a lifetime’s worth of love. We will forever cherish the time we had with her and will hold onto the memories of her in our hearts. We feel so blessed that God selected our family to raise her up, and find peace in knowing the abundance of deep love she experienced during her time with us. We are further comforted in the reassurance that she is wrapped in the arms of our Heavenly Father and that we will see her again someday.
Kaci was born with Down Syndrome and spent the first month of her life in the NICU. From the beginning, she showed us what true strength looks like – she was our tiny warrior.
Her greatest happiness was found in the simple and beautiful moments spent with her family. Kaci loved being held close by her mom, Kristin, being gently rocked by her dad, Jared, and rolling on the floor with her older siblings, Kyler, Kamryn, and Kolton. She was completely adored and fiercely loved by her entire family, also including her grandparents, Bill and Caroline, and Bob and Deb, along with many great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear family friends.
Family and friends are welcome to join in Kaci’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 28 at New Life Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon, Ohio at 4:00 pm. Attendees are asked to please wear blue and/or yellow to help support a joyful celebration and in honor of Down Syndrome Awareness.
Though flowers are appreciated for her Celebration of Life, the family is also collecting donations in Kaci’s honor. Contributions will support the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO), which provided meaningful support and community to Jared and Kristin, as well as the NICU at St. Ann’s Hospital, whose team lovingly cared for Kaci in her earliest days. Above all, the family asks for prayers and support during this incredibly difficult time.
