Carol “Duke” Fenneken, 81, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on March 11, 2026. She was born on June 3, 1945 in New Albany to Dorothy & Louis Appleton.
She will be remembered for being a devoted mother, grandmother & great grandmother.
She is survived by Children, Troy (Susan) Duke, Brian (Wendy) Duke, Danielle (Aaron) VanRiper, Grandchildren, Audrey Duke, Micheala (Kyle) Sapp, Mary (Nathaniel) Kowalski , Alli Duke Jacob Duke, Autumn Duke, Jocie Russell (Johnny Shumate), Abby Duke & Adien Duke. Great Grandchildren, Owen Johnson, Emy Johnson, Theo Trout, Jaxson Sapp, Thomas Russell, Ellie Sapp and Taylor Shumate. Niece Missy (Eric) Richards.
She loved spending her days with her family. She will be remembered for being so dedicated to her kids and grandkids.
Preceded in death by Sled & Josephine Garner, Louis & Dorothy Appleton, and Beverly Ricketts.
