Dylan Aaron Severns, age 24, of Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

He was born on May 8, 2001, in Mount Vernon to Bart and Tammy (Gallagher) Severns.
Dylan lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and was everyone’s best friend. He always wanted to spend the evenings and weekends with all his friends. Dylan loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, riding dirt bikes, and shooting guns. More than anything Dylan loved his family. His wife and daughter McKinley were his whole world. He constantly was working for a great life for his family. Dylan was the best daddy and took that role in his life very seriously and was very excited for the arrival of Adalyn Aaron-May in June.

Dylan is survived by his wife, Lelia Severns to whom he married on October 7, 2023; his daughter, McKinley Irene Severns and McKinley’s mother, Amy Smith; Dylan’s unborn daughter, Adalyn Aaron-May Severns; his parents, Bart and Tammy; brothers, Lane Severns and Hunter Severns; grandparents, Ralph and Cherie Gallagher, Wilbur Severns and Lola Downs; sisters-in-laws, Laura Hill, Lydia Hill, Libbey Hill, Lainey Hill; brother-in-law, Nolan Hill; his in-laws Jaime Nesbit and Jason and Katie Hill; several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, including Bub, Cody, Derick, Luke and Willie who were like brothers; special friends who were more like family, Walker and Sophie Davis, Anna Patterson and Will Jensen; his beloved dogs, Stella and Charlie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Where funeral services will be held on Friday, starting at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
