Coshocton topped New Lexington 59-52 in a tough tilt for an Ohio boys basketball victory at Coshocton High on Feb. 13.
New Lexington started on steady ground by forging a 12-8 lead over Coshocton at the end of the first quarter.
The Panthers had a 21-19 edge on the Redskins at the beginning of the third quarter.
Nothing was decided in the third quarter, with Coshocton and New Lexington locked in a 30-30 stalemate.
The Redskins got the better of the final-quarter scoring, finishing the game in style with a 29-22 edge.
In recent action on Jan. 30, Coshocton faced off against Crooksville and New Lexington took on Zanesville W. Muskingum on Jan. 30 at New Lexington High School.
