DELAWARE — The Delaware, Knox, Marion, Morrow Solid Waste District (DKMM) is looking for a Knox County resident with a general interest in waste reduction and sustainability to serve on the DKMM Policy Committee.
Committee members assist DKMM in developing a plan for handling solid waste. They also identify which programs should be implemented to reduce reliance on landfills.
The Policy Committee meets two or three times a year, typically on Tuesday afternoons at various locations within the four-county district. Committee members serve as volunteers for a two-year term, which can be renewed if interested.
