Cardington-Lincoln showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out an 8-6 advantage over Centerburg as the first quarter ended.
The Trojans kept a 23-15 half margin at the Pirates’ expense.
Centerburg jumped to a 39-19 lead heading into the final quarter.
Neither team could gain any advantage in the fourth quarter.
Last season, Centerburg and Cardington-Lincoln faced off on Dec. 20, 2024 at Centerburg High School.
