MANSFIELD — He set Mount Vernon’s single-game rushing record three weeks ago and was crowned Homecoming King last week.
It’s been a good senior year for Mason Richards.
A quarterback and three-year captain, Richards stopped by the Inside The Lines podcast studio to talk about what is shaping up to be a historic season for the Yellow Jackets. Mount Vernon is 4-2 and in the hunt for a playoff berth for the first time since 1993.
North central Ohio’s leading rusher, Richards is closing in on 1,000 yards heading into a Week 7 showdown at Watkins Memorial. More importantly, he’s helped establish a new culture at Mount Vernon.
