MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday arrested Jocelyn Rose Maddox, a murder suspect wanted out of Lawrence County, Tenn.
A KCSO detective saw Maddox operating a black Chevrolet Impala in the area of Verndale and Hillcrest drives. The detective stopped the vehicle and Maddox was taken into custody without incident at 1:43 p.m.
She was taken to the Knox County Jail, where she was incarcerated.
The arrest was the result of a collaborative investigation involving the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Mount Vernon Police Department.
An arrest warrant was issued after a grand jury indictment from the Lawrence County Circuit Court in Lawrenceburg.
No additional information was available Wednesday afternoon. Local authorities said all questions regarding the case should be directed to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
