MOUNT VERNON – Corey Adam Armstrong, 42, died Monday, September 1, 2025 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born June 7, 1983 in Mount Vernon to Kelvin and Brenda (Breckler) Armstrong.

Corey was a 2001 graduate of Danville High School. He loved football and the band during high school. He was a huge Toby Keith fan. He enjoyed music and loved his family.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Michaelis and his brother, Kip Armstrong. His nieces and nephew, Shelby, Colton, & Caleb Armstrong. Also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kelvin and grandparents, William & Sharon Breckler, Robert Armstrong, & Margaret Garrad.

A funeral service for Corey will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Father Homer Blubaugh officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home www.fischerfuneralhome.com

A time of food and fellowship will be held at the St. Luke Community Center following services at the cemetery.
