Hello there, my name is Jack Slemenda, and I am the newest member of Knox Pages!

I hail from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and recently graduated from Ohio University this past May.

While at OU, I honed a knack for asking questions and writing answers while achieving a Bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in political science along the way.

Outside the classroom, I was the Editor-in-Chief of a student publication on campus called The New Political and a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity’s Gamma Omicron chapter.

Last summer, I worked as an intern for the Daily Caller in Washington D.C. My time in D.C. was thanks to being an inaugural member of The Fund for American Studies’ (TFAS) Student Journalism Association Fellowship program.

Now that I have relocated down to Mount Vernon and the Knox County area, I am very excited to learn more about the area and its people.

I am working as a general assignment reporter for Knox Pages with a primary focus on education. I look forward to meeting and working with all the different people involved in the education sphere of the area and beyond while providing impactful coverage to our audience.

I would appreciate any tips or recommendations at any time, feel free to send them to my email jack@richlandsource.com

When I am not working on my next story, you can find me at various fishing spots across the area or trying out new restaurants in town!
