Arrests and Charges:
Maggie Wheeler, 35, of Mount Vernon was arrested on June 28th for disorderly conduct.
Katie Moody, 26, of Mount Vernon was charged for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with endangering children and for possession/use of harmful intoxicants.
Chad McKinney, 37, of Mount Vernon was charged at 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday with theft from the Wal-Mart.
Traffic Violations
Donald McCann, 80 of Mount Vernon was cited at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday for starting and backing without insuring it was safe to do so.
Christine Robinson, 34, of Mount Vernon was cited for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.
Accidents:
Just before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a driver whose name was unrecorded in the report was traveling westbound on Wooster Road in a 2008 Chevrolet. Christine M. Robinson, 34, of Mount Vernon was immediately behind him in her 1999 Nissan Altima. When the unnamed driver attempted to turn left onto McGibney Road, Robinson rear-ended his vehicle.
Incidents:
At 5:50 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to an alarm at the Five Point Carry-Out on N. Main Street. They found the exterior of the building secure and a keyholder was contacted. According to the report, the keyholder said that, if the exterior appeared normal, he did not want a walk-through of the interior.
At around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer responded to the area of Wal-Mart on a report of drug use. Suspects were identified and several items—including packets of spice, a glass bowl, and a metal pipe—were collected as evidence.
At 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, a theft was reported at the Wal-Mart. A suspect was identified and $1234.08 worth of merchandise—including several airguns, a rifle, and a Crossman flashlight—were recovered. A video surveillance DVD was collected as evidence.
