At 98 years young, Norma Jeanne Graham–Spearman of Mount Vernon, Ohio, wrapped up a life well-lived on June 12, 2025, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon. Born on June 8, 1927, to Wesley and Estella (Burris) Burger, Jeanne made nearly a century count — and then some.
Jeanne wasn’t just a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother — she was the life of the party, the loudest cheerleader in the stands, and the first to suggest a spontaneous road trip or card game. A longtime member of Tomahawk Golf Course, Jeanne was known for her love of golf, her competitive bridge nights with friends, and her fierce loyalty to her favorite teams — especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.

She showed up for everything and everyone — every grandchild’s and great-grandchild’s game, recital, or event — no matter what. She loved watching hot air balloons rise over the countryside, boating on Lake Erie with family, and taking off on adventures, even if that meant traveling solo to places like Hawaii just to soak up the sun and independence.
Jeanne had a green thumb in the garden, a killer poker face at the card table, and a warmth that filled every holiday with laughter and love. She passed on traditions, smiles, and more than a few wins at bridge and euchre.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Buttke, Jennifer (Matt) Keller, and Kurt (Allyson) Holland and her niece Ginny (Jim) Pringle-Wright ; and her great-grandchildren, Brittany Zymslinski, Trevor Buttke, Riley Buttke, Addie Keller, Tayte Keller, Palmer Keller, Jackson Holland, and Blake Holland — all of whom knew her as their biggest fan and the heart of every family gathering.

She is now reunited with her daughter, Karen Holland; her first husband, Clifford Graham; and her second husband, Robert Spearman. She is also probably riding in a convertible with her Sister Betty and her husband Garner — surely smiling down and saving a seat at the table.

Private services will be held in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

The Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Vernon are honored to serve the family of this unforgettable woman. Jeanne lived big, laughed often, and loved deeply — and her spark will live on in everyone lucky enough to have known her.
