Donald J. Cook, 76, of Mount Vernon passed away on Wednesday morning, June 4, 2025 at Knox Community Hospital following a courageous battle with declining health. He was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Jeet and Mary (DeTurk) Cook.
Don graduate from the Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business and worked as an Insurance Adjuster for State Farm Insurance.
Don is survived by his wife, Letha (Collins) Cook whom he married on June 5, 1975; sons, Andrew Cook, Jesse Cook and Jonathan (Rebecca) Cook; grandchildren, Zoie, Alexxandrya, Lacie and Leo; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Ken Cook.
The family will have a private celebration of life service on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
