Florence Catherine Shaw, 90 of Mount Vernon passed away on May 16, 2025 at Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon, OH. She was born on June 18, 1934 to Lloyd and Cilia (Suffecool) Landes in Canton, OH.
Florence was a member of the First Church of God on Pine Street in Mount Vernon. Florence enjoyed playing bingo, watching softball and OSU football. She liked watching old TV shows. Her favorites were Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Andy Griffith Show and Murder She Wrote.
Florence is survived by her son Jeffrey Shaw of Mount Vernon, OH, John (Melissa) Shaw of Mount Vernon, OH; a niece Rachael (Scott) Glancy of Mount Vernon, OH; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; she was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband Guy Shaw, her parents, children Jerry (Mary) Shaw, Jim Shaw, Jack Shaw, granddaughter Erin Shaw and a grandson Jerad Shaw.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
