Working people and older Americans living on fixed incomes were counting on Trump’s promise to lower prices and make life more affordable.
Many of those who voted for him are concerned about the rising cost of groceries, medicines, and other essential items. People working hard to provide for their families need to know that they can put food on the table and provide for their family’s basic needs.
Rather than help Americans who are feeling insecure and struggling to keep up, Trump is making food and other goods more expensive. Today, the cost of necessities like eggs, milk, and fresh produce are climbing higher than ever.
The MAGA GOP has chosen to support Trump’s reckless tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China. These tariffs are nothing more than new consumer taxes, raising the price of everyday goods such as fruit, toys, sneakers, and prescription drugs.
Trump claims that his policies are working. It seems they are only working to make life even harder for working families.
Instead of investing in programs that support the majority of Americans, the Trump regime is working hard to gut vital services that take food away from children and healthcare away from the elderly in favor of policies that benefit billionaires and large corporations.
Americans deserve a future that supports working families. People want to see a budget that does not dole out tax cuts to billionaires like Elon Musk, at the expense of the American people.
The partisan MAGA bill that passed Congress this week cuts funding for essential programs like healthcare and food assistance for school children. This budget will hurt working Americans while providing tax cuts for the wealthy.
Call your Senators and representatives at 202-224-3121 and tell them you do not support their decision to put billionaires over hungry children and working families.
