MOUNT VERNON — Ashlynn Brokaw barely broke a sweat.
Brokaw, Mount Vernon’s sophomore 105-pound wrestler, cruised to a sectional title Sunday at Licking Valley High School.
Brokaw registered a pair of first-period pins before winning by default in the finals. She improved to 39-4 heading into this week’s district tournament at Big Walnut.
Last year’s third-place finisher at state at 105, Brokaw will be joined at the Big Walnut district by teammates Alivia Zimmerman and Zara Schoonover.
Zimmerman finished fourth at 140, while Schoonover was fourth at 145.
