James Dale Haas, age 83, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was born on September 24, 1941, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Paul and Marcella (Baker) Haas.
Jim was a carpenter and owned his own business. He enjoyed sports, especially golfing and basketball. Most of all he loved being around his family.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer (Waddell) Haas; a daughter, Pam (Bob) Phillips; a son, Michael Haas; grandchildren, Charlie (Brei) Phillips, Madi (Tom) Queen; great-grandchildren, Brock, Oliver and Tucker Queen; a brother, Richard (Patricia) Haas; many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his stepfather, David Swank.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
