MOUNT VERNON — There were 18 people who received sentences in October for felony convictions in Knox County.

Seven people sentenced Oct. 3

Michael Lyon, of Butler, was sentenced to two years of community control on two criminal damaging or endangering convictions. Lyon was ordered to serve 150 days in the county jail on count one with 60 days on count one and serve 150 days in jail with zero days served, to be suspended.

Vauna Stoutenburgh, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control for an aggravated possession of drugs conviction. 

In another case, Stoutenburgh was sentenced to two years of community control on a trespass in a habitation when a person is present conviction. Stoutenburgh was ordered to serve 180 days in the county jail with 78 days served, suspended if Stoutenburgh successfully completes the residential treatment and transitional aftercare, among other requirements. 

Jeffrey Lawrence, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction. 

Luke Wilson, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to a definite 11-month prison sentence on a trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present or likely to be present; 90 days on criminal damaging; six months on aggravated menacing, to be served concurrently. Wilson was given credit for 87 days served toward his sentence along with future days while awaiting transportation to the appropriate institution. 

Jordan Platt, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction.

Chad Behner, of Fredericktown, was sentenced to a definite 36-month prison sentence on operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol conviction. Behner was given credit for 170 days toward his sentence. Behner’s operator license was suspended for 20 years. 

Casie Carman, of Johnstown, was sentenced to two years of community control on a possession of drugs conviction. Carman was ordered to serve 231 days in the county jail with 51 days served—suspended on the condition that Carman enter into and successfully completes the Crosswaeh Community Based Correctional Facility Treatment Program, among other requirements.

Nine people sentenced Oct. 10

Jeremy Dexter, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control on an attempted conviction. Dexter was ordered to serve 180 days in jail with 56 days credited, to be suspended on the condition that Dexter enter and successfully complete the West Central Community Based Correctional Facility Treatment Program, among other requirements. 

Susan Denuit, of New London, was sentenced to a 30-month definite prison sentence on a possession of conviction. Denuit was given 212 days served toward her sentence. 

Ryan Dierks, of Howard, was sentenced to a 24-month definite prison term on a Failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer conviction. Dierks was also sentenced to three days on operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol conviction. Dierks was credited 170 days toward his sentence. 

Daniel Huffman, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction. Huffman was credited 100 days toward his 180-day sentenced, suspended on the condition that Huffman complete the Mended Reeds Treatment Program and Transitional Aftercare, among other requirements. 

Colton Madden, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control on having weapons while under disability and possession of cocaine convictions. Madden was credited 127 days toward their 180-day jail sentence, suspended that they enter into and complete Mended Reeds Treatment Program and Transitional Aftercare, among other requirements. 

Teresa Flack, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to a 30-month definite prison sentence on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction with a forfeiture specification. Flack was credited 288 days toward her sentence. Flack was ordered to pay $400 to the Mount Vernon Police Department. Flack is ordered to pay $939 to the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office and $939 to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for the cost of transportation. 

Amanda Alexander, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction. Alexander was credited for 71 days toward for 180 days in jail, suspended if they complete the Crosswaeh Community Based Correctional Facility Treatment Program and Transitional Aftercare, among other requirements. 

Mendy Delong, of Mansfield, was sentenced to one year of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction. 

Joshua Beachy, of Howard, was sentenced to two years of community control aggravated possession of drugs conviction, among other requirements. 

Two people sentenced Oct. 24

Colton Stiltner, of Danville, was sentenced to two years of community control on an aggravated assault conviction. Stiltner was ordered to serve 180 days in jail credited for 77 days served, suspended if they enter into and complete the West Central Community Based Correctional Facility Treatment Program, among other requirements. 

Asa Cormier, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to a 17 month definite prison term on an assault on a peace officer conviction and 60 days on a resisting arrest conviction—to be served concurrently. Cormier was credited 56 days toward his sentence.
