We, in Ohio, are well aware that we are a divided country.
For those of us who have the need to show our loyalty to Trump, new Trump campaign signs have been appearing in yards for months and are now getting larger and more elaborate.
We are demonstrating our frustration and anger with America, and consequently we are showing we are willing, if not eager, to hate and disparage others who are not with us.
For those of us who would like to de-escalate the polarization between Americans and who prefer a strategy of working for change within the parameters of our constitution and laws, we should not put national political signs in our yards, but rather put non partisan signs that encourage voting.
It is clear, as Mark Cuban pointed out in an interview with Brian Cohen (You Tube), that the Republican and the Democratic parties of our past have disappeared as of 2016 for one and with the move to a woman-driven youthful movement recently for the other.
Voting by “party” is less meaningful … it is the majority vote that will prevail in Democracy.
