MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Task Force for Older Adults will host its annual Senior Resource Day on Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene.
The church is located at 807 Coshocton Ave. in Mount Vernon.
The Sam Ingraham Senior Resource Day aims to allow Knox County seniors to explore
informational displays and interact with representatives from various organizations in the community that cater to aging adults. This event will offer information on topics such as:
•Transportation
•Alzheimer’s awareness & resources
•Home healthcare
•Food insecurity
•Hospice care and grief counseling
•Home energy assistance
•Social activities in the county
Admission to Senior Resource Day is free, and lunch will be provided to all attending seniors. Door prizes will be awarded after the event, and each display will feature free items promoting their respective services.
