Grace Olive Knott, age 94, of Medina, Ohio, formerly of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at her residence. She was born on July 6, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Charles and Mabel (Wolcott) Nicholas.
Grace loved crocheting and made many blankets and Afghans through the years. She enjoyed music and religion. Grace was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. All her life she was devoted to the church full-heartedly. She loved going on walks around Mount Vernon and collecting aluminum cans. Most important to Grace was her loving family.
Grace is survived by her children, Cheryl Holder; Kenneth (Rae Ann) DeLong, Teri DeLong; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Grace is preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel R. DeLong; second husband, G. Fred Knott; a daughter, Judy Allen; and eight siblings.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 5-7 PM PM with funeral services on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 starting at 1:00 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home; 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050 with Pastor Ron Vozar officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
