Our precious mother, Georgeanna Butler, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 21, 2024 at her home in Bucyrus.
She was born March 6, 1939 to the late Sophia and William Osterritter in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Mount Vernon in 1974 to raise her family.
She is survived her her four children: son George Edward Dale Butler, daughters Stacy (Michael) Butler-Chopek; Karrie (Matthew Shepherd) Williamson and Jodi (Bryan) Thompson; seven grandchildren: Amie Richter, Kayla Green, Cassandra Williamson, Corey (Devyn) Crowe, Jacob Crowe, Anna Butler-Chopek, and Tylar Williamson; and four great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Nathan, Sofia, and Kaylynn, her brother William Osterritter and her sister Carol Woods, as well as her special dog friend, Millie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her siblings: Kenneth Osterritter, Frederick Osterritter, Christine Zuratovic, James Osterritter and David Osterritter, all of Pennsylvania.
The family will have a private graveside service at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon at a later date. Condolences may be made to the family at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
