Donald Ridenour Jr, age 71, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at his home with his loving family at his side.
He was born on August 25, 1952, in Mount Vernon to the late Donald and Effie (Stevens) Ridenour Sr. Family was everything to Donald and he believed that being a provider for his family was his most important responsibility. He enjoyed working at Chattanooga Glass for over 11 years, Union Labor Local 1216 for over 21 years, and Vermac Industries for 4 years. But most of all, Donald loved the time he spent with his family and close friends.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (Straight) Ridenour; his son Ronald (Erin) Ridenour; his daughter Tami (Seth) Mills; five grandchildren, Caden Ridenour, Grady Mills, Emma Ridenour, Kaylor Mills, Harper Mills; his sisters Paulette (Phillip) Rine, Theresa Ridenour; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his granddaughter Megan Ridenour.
In keeping with Donald’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private graveside service, in Brandon Cemetery, at a later date.
