Georgia Cleora Helmick, 87 of Fredericktown passed away on March 14, 2024 at Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon. She was born on January 31, 1937 to Fred and Mary (Carin) Hatfield in Mount Vernon, OH.

Georgia was a 60+ year member of the First Church of God in Fredericktown, OH. She also served as the Church Treasurer off and on throughout the 60 years. Georgia enjoyed putting together and framing puzzles for display. She had an extensive doll collection that she was very proud of. Georgia was well known for her fudge and homemade noodles.

Georgia is survived by her children Pat (Wayne) Rush of Marengo, OH, Nathan Shock of Galloway, OH, Carol (Jonathan) Cisco of Fredericktown, OH; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings Jean Johnson of Mansfield, OH, Joan McCall of Mansfield, OH and many extended family members.

Georgia was preceded in death by her first husband Lee E. “Paul” Shock, second husband Donald Swihart, third husband Martin Helmick; a son Gordon Lee Shock I; brothers Luther, Lucius, Fred II and Bill Hatfield and a sisters Mary Louise Leedy, Betty Heil, Marty Stringfellow and Joyce Casler; a grandson Chad Annett.

Memorial Contributions can be made in Georgia’s memory to First Church of God, 19535 Zolman Rd, Fredericktown, OH 43019.

Calling hours will be Monday, March 25, 2024 at First Church of God, 19535 Zolman Road, Fredericktown, OH 43019, from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services at 1:00pm. Graveside services will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
