Ned E. Brokaw 88, of Fredericktown passed away at Mount Vernon Health and Rehabilitation on March 10, 2024. He was born on June 4, 1935 to Ralph and Grace (Phillips) Brokaw in Fredericktown, OH.
Ned was a member of the Berlin Church of Fredericktown. Ned loved to restore tractors. He was on his 10th Tractor restoration when he passed away. He was a former member of the Central Ohio and Ohio 2 Cylinder Tractor Associations. Ned also served as past vice president of the Ohio 2 Cylinder Tractor Association. He was also a past member of the Kokosing Valley Antique Tractor Club. His favorite past time was spending time with his grand children and great grandchildren. Ned enjoyed watching their sporting events and helping them with their 4 – H and FFA projects.
Ned is survived by his wife Judith (Mayer) Brokaw; his children Emilee & Stephen Hollis of Mount Vernon and Matt & Robin Brokaw of Bellville; grandchildren Nathaniel & Tiffany Hollis, Lauren & Bryant Smith, step-grandchildren Kennedy & Daniel Gomez; great-grandchildren Calvin Hollis, Colt Smith and Kyler Hollis; step great-grandchildren Lane and Lucas Smith.
Ned was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elinor Bartlett and Dorothy Leibrock and a step granddaughter Jenna Leakey.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Flower-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E High Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm with graveside services following at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown, OH.
