Crash Reports

April 20

  • Amanda L. Heagren was stopped facing west on Oak St. in a no parking zone. Casey L. Melton was traveling westbound on Oak St. and proceeded to pass Heagren. While Melton was passing, a juvenile passenger in Heagren’s vehicle opened the rear driver side door causing the door of unit Heagren’s vehicle to strike Melton’s vehicle in the right front corner. Heagren was cited for parking in a prohibited zone.

April 21

  • A vehicle owned by Shane McCarthy was stopped inside the Munro Muffler and Brake Service garage. Vehicles owned by Harold Shaw and Scott Long were parked in the north end of the Munro parking lot. Evan A. Johnson started to back McCarthy’s vehicle out of the garage and, failing to realize the brakes were not operating, collided with Shaw’ and Long’s vehicles. Johnson was cited for failure to control/weaving.

Incident Reports

April 20

  • At approximately 4:42 A.M. an officer responded to a N. Jefferson St, residence in reference to a burglary in progress. The officer spoke with the complainant who stated three males broke into his shed and took off on bicycles. There is nothing further to report and any new information will be supplemented.
  • An individual at Riverside Park was found to be in possession of marijuana, a marijuana pipe, a marijuana grinder and a push rod. All the items were seized and placed into evidence. The individual was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released.

April 21

  • At approximately 1:03 A.M. A traffic stop was conducted on McGibney Rd. Suspected methamphetamines were seized. This report will be forwarded to the prosecutor for indictment and the substance will be sent to a lab for testing.
  • An officer responded to a Sychar Rd residence at approximately 5:35 P.M. on a report of domestic violence. He officer spoke with Toby Holt and Lacy Holt. Both parties were arrested and charged with domestic violence. Both parties requested temporary protection orders.

April 22

  • An officer responded to Knox Community Hos;ital on a report of a disturbance. Ronald Keen was located at the scene and identified by multiple witnesses as the male causing the disturbance. Keen reportedly threatened having firearms at home to medical personnel and began yelling and using foul language when he was told he could not see his fiancee in the emergency room. He was advised by medical staff to leave. He left briefly and returned and began yelling and using foul language again. Keen was arrested at the scene and transported to the Knox County Jail.
  • At approximately3:27 A.M. A traffic stop was made on Edgewood Blvd. The driver was charged with possession of marijuana.

  • Kiara Hunter, 29, Mansfield, was cited for driving under suspension/revocation, pass left of center and failing to stop after a crash on the street.

April 19

  • Edward Osteen, 52, Fishers In. was cited for oversize/weight vehicle on local streets.
  • Caylee Overly, 19, Mentor On The Lake, OH, was cited for speeding
  • Austin Thomas, 25, Westwood Dr. was charged with a stop sign violation.
  • Don Yoakam, 86, Yauger Rd. was cited for a stop sign violation.

April 20

  • Raymond Williams, 47, Ames St. was arrested for drug paraphernalia offenses and prohibition against consumption in a motor vehicle.
  • Amanda Heagren, 35, Coshocton Ave. was cited for parking where prohibited.
  • Jonathan Walker, 37, Fredericktown, was charged with drug paraphernalia offenses and hypodermic possession.
  • Bryan Pruitt, 27, Chester St. was cited for driving under suspension/revocation and drug paraphernalia offenses.
  • Bryan Bird, 31, Belmont St. was charged with speeding.
  • Thomas Higgins, 57, Harrison Ave. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Alaina Doup, 30, Colville Rd. was cited for a stop sign violation and expired or unlawful plates.
  • Austin Mays, 21, Newark, was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.

April 21

  • Evan Johnson, 18, Howard, was cited for failure to control/weaving.
  • Donald Devine, 61, Red Bank, NJ, was cited for a stop sign violation.
  • Clayton Leiendecker, 20, Butler, was cited for a stop sign violation.
  • Toby Holt, 35, Sychar Rd. was arrested for domestic violence.
  • Lacy Holt, 36, Sychar Rd. was arrested for domestic violence.
  • Brett Skillman, 39, Maplewood Ave, was charged with carrying concealed weapons.
  • Jason Sowers, 36, Upper Gilchrist Rd. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Crystal Stewart, 34, Crystal Ave. was arrested and charged with falsification.

April 22

  • Ronald Keen, 36, Johnson Ave. was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct with persisting.
  • Casey Staats, 25, Folin Ave was arrested and charged with drug abuse.
  • Terrel Crawford, 30. Howard, was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.
  • Jessica Schumacher, 28, Prospect St. was cited for a stop sign violation.
