MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Grand Jury indicted 11 people on Monday. The most serious charges stemmed from a burglary incident on May 12.

According to a Mount Vernon police report, officers responded to a report of two Wooster men who forced their way into a Vaughn Court residence in the early morning hours of May 12 and assaulted the occupants. Officers arrested Stone Sandy-Long, 19, and Dalton Sandy-Long, 22. The pair, who are brothers, were charged with assault at the time.

The Knox County Grand Jury indicted the brothers on first-degree aggravated burglary, second-degree felonious assault, and assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. The aggravated burglary charge carries a maximum penalty of 11 years in prison, while the felonious assault can carry up to 36 months in prison.

The indictments are as follows:

  • Samantha Cunningham – aggravated possession of drugs (F5)
  • Gregory Hyatt – aggravated possession of drugs (F5), theft (M1)
  • William Houston – failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer (F3)
  • Connor Pollock – intimidation of a witness in a criminal case (F3)
  • Denise Posey – aggravated possession of drugs (F5)
  • Dalton Sandy-Long – aggravated burglary (F1), felonious assault (F2), domestic violence (M1), assault (M1)
  • Stone Sandy-Long – aggravated burglary (F1), felonious assault (F2), assault (M1)
  • Holly Tindall – aggravated possession of drugs (F5)
  • Patrick Underwood – failure to provide change of address (F3), two counts of forgery (F5), two counts of receiving stolen property (F5)
