Mount Vernon Municipal Court was in session this week.

MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher found 25 people guilty after hearings and court trials were conducted this week at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.

These were the cases brought forward by Mount Vernon Law Director P. Robert Broeren Jr.’s Office.

Feb. 5

Logan White, 23, of Hilliard, was found guilty of having physical control of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Jeremy Werner, 44, of Bellville, was found guilty of speeding.

First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted the cases on behalf of the City
of Mount Vernon and the State of Ohio.

Feb. 6

Michael Mitchell, 40, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of telecommunications harassment, menacing, criminal trespassing, and speeding.

Heaven Rhoades, 24, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Katressa Ritchey, 24, of Marion, was found guilty of endangering children.

Kalob Hines, 26, of Warsaw, was found guilty of improper handling of a firearm in a
motor vehicle and falsification.

Johnathan Wesley, 47, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of domestic violence.

Travis Posey, 32, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Paul Compton, 47, of Centerburg, was found guilty of having physical control of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Daniel Chapman, 56, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Richard Berg, 65, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Savannah Keyes, 25, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of a dealer plate violation.

Timothy Lawson, 32, of Newark, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while his driver’s license was suspended.

Scott Conkey, 49, of Columbus, was found guilty of failure to display valid registration.

Sheila Devore, 53, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while
under an FRA suspension.

Caleb McFadden, 40, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under an FRA suspension, speeding, and failure to obey traffic control signal.

Araea Strouse, 23, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle in violation of temporary learner’s permit restrictions.

First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted the Ritchey, Wesley and Mitchell cases and Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.

Feb. 7

Jeanette Seitz, 57, of Westerville, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without an operator’s license.

Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted this case on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon.

Feb. 9

Shawna Posey, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of operating a motor vehicle while under an FRA suspension and obstructing official business.

Tara Keaton, 42, of Grove City, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under an FRA suspension.

James Estep, Jr., 51, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under a suspension and speeding.

William Grohe, 23, of Howard, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under a suspension and failure to use reasonable control of a motor vehicle.

Michelle Bales, 46, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under a suspension.

Aaron Smith, 24, of Ontario, was found guilty of improper lane usage.

Joni Grennell, 40, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with expired plates and failure to yield right-of-way when turning.

Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted these cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
