Grover Dale Strouse Sr., 73, of Mount Vernon passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on February 25, 1950 in Ashland, Ohio to the late Irvin and Mary Jane (Hockensmith) Strouse.

Grover honorably served his country in the Navy. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working on cars, going to yard sales and watching wrestling on TV.

Grover is survived by his wife, Judy (Pogue) Strouse; children, Mark (Chica) Strouse, Rebecca (Jimmie) Robinson, Grover Strouse Jr., Mary (Gregory) Crowe, and Esther Strouse; several grandchildren, especially grandson, Logan Strouse and granddaughter, Kassidee Strouse, and several great grandchildren; sisters, Diane, Shirley and Goldie; brothers, Steve and Dwayne; special nephew, Daniel (Mary) Cantlebarry and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Grover was preceded in death by sisters, Leona and Judy; and a brother, David.

A funeral service will be held at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, Ohio.
