FREDERICKTOWN — Fredericktown FFA recently had three teams compete in the Knox County Parliamentary Procedure competitions that were hosted at the Fredericktown School District Administration Building.

The secretary must take neat and accurate minutes of the meeting.

The team must also complete a test over their general knowledge of parliamentary procedure according to Roberts Rules of Order.

In this contest, six members must complete a written test and conduct a meeting using parliamentary procedure and demonstrate different abilities that are given.

For the advanced and intermediate team, each member will also have to come up with an additional ability that is not listed on their assigned agenda that they will have to conduct this meeting in under 12 minutes.

Intermediate Team members were: Chloe Wells, Lane Dugan, Logan Miller, Raegan Blanchard, Austin Frazier, and Ella Bouton.

For the Novice team the eight members will be required to conduct the meeting and they will also have to recite the FFA opening and closing ceremonies and they will have to do this all in under 15 minutes.

The advanced team placed 4th, the Intermediate team placed 2nd and will be moving on to districts and the Novice team placed 2nd as well.
