Joy Lynn Italiano, 59, of Mount Vernon, passed away from natural causes on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Knox Community Hospital.
She was born on September 2, 1964, in Mount Vernon to Robert J. Italiano and Linda L. Italiano.
Joy was a 1985 Mount Vernon High School graduate.
She is survived by her son, Joey Whittaker, a daughter, Ashley Ferrell, mother, Linda Wantland, sisters, Penny (Steve) Halsey and Danielle (Scott) Roffey, six grandchildren, Brody Cosner, Azlynn Baughman, Bristol Baughman, Macie Banbury, Bryndan Whittaker and Jazmyn Tomlin, and many nieces and nephews.
Joy was preceded in death by her father Robert Italiano, stepfather, Jack Wantland, and grandparents.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 – 1:00 PM in Mound View Cemetery. The Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel is handling the service for the family.
