HOWARD — East Knox bounced back from a couple of tough losses to open Knox Morrow Athletic Conference action in solid form on Friday night.
The Bulldogs recorded a big victory over cross-county rival Centerburg 35-7.
Blake Elliott got EK rolling with a 12-yard TD run for a 7-0 first-quarter edge.
The two teams swapped second-period scores with Bracen Davis catching a touchdown pass for the Bulldogs at the 7:55 mark.
Centerburg countered when Mason Turske hauled in a scoring toss to cut it to 14-7 heading into the half.
The second half belonged to East Knox.
Elliott got loose again for a touchdown romp, and senior Aaron White added a scoring run to make it 28-7 going to the final 12 minutes.
Jax Lester’s 5-yard run with 8:11 to play finished the scoring.
The Bulldogs (2-2 overall, 1-0 in the KMAC) will host Cardington (1-3) next week.
The Trojans (1-3, 0-1) are home against Loudonville (2-2).
Last season, Centerburg and East Knox faced off on Sept. 9, 2022 at Centerburg High School.
