Bernadette M. “Bernie” Hamon,70, of Fredericktown passed away on Sunday morning, June 25, 2023, at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 23, 1953, in Georgia, the daughter of the late Jack and Margaret Odenweller.
Bernadette devoted her life thinking of others and always giving with a loving heart. She loved being with her husband, her daughters, and her grandchildren in all their adventures. Bernadette was also a Respiratory therapist at Knox Community Hospital for 30 years. In her earlier years she had attended Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Vernon and sang in the choir.
Bernadette is survived by her husband, Larry Hamon whom she married on April 29, 1972; her daughters, Mindy (Tyler) Jones of Oreana, and Shelly (Deon) Rogers of Fredericktown; 6 beloved grandchildren, Lauren, Mackenzie, Taylor, Keith, Abigail, and Korbin; sisters, Barbara (John) Brooks of Mount Vernon, and Tami (Gary) Secheverell of Deltona; a brother, John Odenweller and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday July 17 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Flowers Chapel, 619 East High Street Mount Vernon. The family will observe a service on Tuesday July 18 at 10:00 AM at the Stone Garden Chapel at Faith Lutheran Church following with burial at Memorial Gardens.
