MOUNT VERNON — The 2023 cleanup schedule for Mount Vernon is set for May 15-20. This if for Mount Vernon residents only and only includes household waste.

Resident will pay $10 per load; the city pays the rest. Residents will be charged an additional $3 for a safety vest unless they are wearing a high-visibility shirt or vest.

Methods of payment are a check, money order, credit card, or debit card. No cash will be accepted. The money order must be for $10 exactly or $13 if a vest is needed.

Items may be taken to Republic Service, 107 Tilden Ave.:

–An ID will be required to verify residency in Mount Vernon.

–No hazardous materials, yard waste, roofing, concrete or tires will

be accepted.

–All loads must be weighed on the scale, so residents are required to go

directly to the back gate behind the building.

Drop-off times are as follows:

–Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

–Saturday: 8:00 AM to Noon

Scales will close promptly at these times. There are no exceptions.
