At 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported that someone had broken the rear window of his vehicle while it was parked overnight on the 3700-block of Apple Valley Drive in Howard.
At 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported that someone had “messed around with the door to his camper” on the 2700-block of Apple Valley Drive in Howard sometime between Thursday night and Saturday morning. No entry was made and there was no damage to the camper.
At 4:55 p.m. on Saturday, a victim reported that he had found the lug nuts loose on the right rear tire of his vehicle while it was parked overnight on the 7700-block of Bishop Road. The victim wanted the incident documented in case of future issues.
Just before 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, a victim reported that someone had stolen $320.00 in cash from her purse while she was a Long Branch Pizza on Main Street in Centerburg.
At 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, a victim reported that someone had driven into his field on the 6900-block of Graham Road overnight, made ruts, and damaged his fence.
At 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, a victim reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked overnight on the 12600-block of Old Mansfield Road in Mount Vernon.
At 7:00 a.m. last Sunday (5/29), a victim reported that someone had broken into his camper at Mohican Wilderness Campground in Glenmont. Several items had been stolen, a window had been broken to gain entry, and the camper’s kitchen table had been damaged. The incident occurred sometime during the month of May.
At 8:00 p.m. last Sunday (5/29), an employee of the Dollar General on N. Sandusky Street reported a shoplifting incident. A deputy reviewed the surveillance video and observed a female suspect stealing a box of tampons or pads and placing them inside her dress. She then left without paying for them. The suspect left before the officer arrived and the license plate number provided proved to be invalid.
At 9:45 p.m. last Sunday (5/29), a victim reported that the front door and frame of his residence on the 00-block of N. Hartford Avenue in Centerburg, OH.
Just before 6:00 p.m. on Monday (5/30), two Mount Vernon residents reported that someone had stolen $600.00 from the USAA Bank account via an ATM in Davie, FL. The bank had notified them of the unusual withdrawals and pledged to reimburse the account after a fraud report was filed.
At 9:15 p.m. on Monday (5/30), Alice J. Crumet, 19, of Mount Vernon was arrested on an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
