MOUNT VERNON — Judge John Thatcher found 17 people guilty after arraignments and hearings in Mount Vernon Municipal Court this week.

Leigh-Ana Savage, 35 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle with Expired Plates. The Court sentenced her to pay Court costs only.

Brody Lane, 22 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $35 fine.

Conall Hughes, 23 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $75 fine.

Latasha Hogan, 19 of Marion, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle with Expired Plates. The Court sentenced her to pay a $15 fine.

Robert Gill, 27 of Warren, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $100 fine.

Joshua Sowards, 41 of Chesapeake, Ohio, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail.

Orville Lusher, 51 of Delaware, was found guilty of Having Physical Control Over a Motor Vehicle While being Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 174 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

Brett Bonsel, 23 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Driving Under a 12-Point Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine and to serve 10 days in jail.

Ronald Hoeflich, 40 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle without a Valid License and Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine for Driving without a Valid License and to serve seven days in jail for the Drug Abuse Instruments charge.

Elias Roman, 28 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct. The Court sentenced him to pay a $50 fine.

Michael Zedaker, 41 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended, and placed him on one year of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.

Christopher Frye, 35 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

Michael Cherry, 22 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle with Expired Plates. The Court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.

Donna Lynn, 52 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. She will be sentenced on March 31, 2020 following a pre-sentence investigation.

Todd Ryan, 47 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. He will be sentenced on March 31, 2020 following a pre-sentence investigation.

Corey Meadows, 25 of Grove City, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $75 fine. 

Austin Reedy, 32 of Sunbury, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail. 

Law Director Rob Broeren and Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney represented the City of Mount Vernon and/or the State of Ohio in these cases.
