Chase Sherman, 32, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 9:50 a.m. on Saturday for assault and for domestic violence.
James Duncan, 25, of Mount Vernon was charged at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday for domestic violence and for violating a temporary protection order.

Faith Thorpe, 44, of Mount Vernon was charged at 2:10 a.m. on Tuesday for operating a vehicle while under the influence within twenty years of a prior offense.

At 2:10 a.m. on Tuesday, an officer stopped a driver for making a prohibited right-turn from W. High Street onto S. Mulberry Street. The driver was identified as Faith Thorpe and she was subsequently arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while impaired.
At 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a report of domestic violence at a residence on the 400-block of N. Sandusky Street. The suspect, James Duncan, Jr., fled out the back door prior to the officer’s arrival. A warrant was issued for Duncan’s arrest for domestic violence and for violating a protection order.
At 4:25 p.m. on Tuesday, an officer responded to a reported domestic disturbance on the 900-block of Coshocton Avenue. Both parties involved gave statements as did a witness. The reports were forwarded to the City Law Director’s Office for review.
At 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, a victim reported that her 2005 Ford Freestar had been vandalized while it was parked overnight in her driveway on the 300-block of E. Burgess Street. Someone had attempted to enter the vehicle and pulled off the handle to the rear hatch. The handle was found lying on the ground next to the vehicle.
