MOUNT VERNON – A Howard man is facing multiple charges after a Coshocton Road traffic stop for allegedly driving 97 miles per hour by a Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputy. Samuel D. Mories, II, 32, was indicted by the Knox County Grand Jury recently for Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle, a fourth degree felony, and Driving While Intoxicated, a first degree misdemeanor.
The Knox County Grand Jury also indicted 22 others for felonies in August.
Joshua Wymer, 33, of Newark was indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance Analog, a felony of the fifth-degree. Wymer is alleged to have been found in possession of K2 Spice after his car was found in a ditch. This case was presented by OSHP Sgt. Troy Sexton.
Lance A. Reynolds, 37, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Felonious Assault, a second-degree felony, and Domestic Violence, a third-degree felony. Reynolds is alleged to have caused serious physical harm to his wife. This case was investigated by KCSO Dep. Lee Eppich.
Clyde R. Robertson, 28, of Butler was indicted for Trespass in a Habitation When a Person is Present or Likely to be Present, a felony of the fourth-degree. Robertson is alleged to have entered a home and was found in the bedroom of a juvenile female. This case was investigated by KCSO Det. Brandon Minot.
Amanda Berry, 29, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Berry is alleged to have been found in possession of methamphetamine during a probation check. This case was investigated by KCSO Det. Brandon Minot.
Crystal Stewart, 32, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and Possession of a Counterfeit Controlled Substance, a first-degree misdemeanor. The indictment alleges that Stewart was in possession of methamphetamine and counterfeit oxycodone pills in January. This case was investigated by KCSO Det. Brandon Minot.
Keith W. Carder, 27, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Escape, a third-degree felony. Carder allegedly escaped out of the back of a Sheriff’s cruiser after being arrested after an incident occurring at the Knox County Fair. This case was investigated by Det. Brandon Minot.
Floyd E. Llewellyn, Jr., 48, and Joyce M. Llewellyn, 45, both of Mount Vernon were each indicted for Theft and Securing Writings by Deception, both fifth-degree felonies. They are accused of entering into a contract to sell standing timber on land that was not theirs. This case was investigated by KCSO Dep. Kreig Cline.
Jake B. Phillips, 30, of Mount Vernon was indicted for two counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, felonies of the fourth-degree. Phillips is alleged to have been selling methamphetamine. This case was investigated by Det. Brandon Minot.
Vernon W Kanode, Jr., 20, of Marengo, was indicted for two counts of Rape, first-degree felonies. Kanode is alleged to have engaged in forcible intercourse with a fourteen-year old girl on two occasions. This case was investigated by Det. Danial Bobo.
Donald G. Keeling, 57, of Centerburg, was indicted for two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, third-degree felonies. This case was investigated by Det. Danial Bobo.
Bryan Walley, 48, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for Breaking and Entering, a fifth-degree felony. Walley is accused of breaking into a West High Street business in Mount Vernon. This case was investigated by Ptl. Aaron Collins.
Derek A. Moore, 32, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for three counts of Having Weapons While Under Disability, third-degree felonies. Moore has a 2003 Aggravated Possession of Drugs conviction that precludes him from possessing firearms. This case was investigated by KCSO Det. Sgt. David Light.
Renee D. Custer, 32, of Howard, was indicted for Obstructing Justice, a felony of the fifth-degree. Custer is accused of harboring or concealing Richard L. Johnson, a registered sex offender who was eluding arrest. This case was investigated by Det. Sgt. David Light.
Tara R. Wilson, 26, of Marion, was indicted for Burglary, a second-degree felony, and Attempted Theft of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Wilson is accused of breaking into a Howard address and trying to steal prescription drugs. This case was investigated by KCSO Dep. Tim Knell.
Holly R. Frost, 30, and Jeremy A. Blankenship, 30, both of Mount Vernon, were each indicted for Receiving Stolen Property (checks), Forgery, and Passing Bad Checks, all fifth-degree felonies. The two are alleged to have received $1,347.75 from the checks. This case was investigated by MVPD Det. Tim Arnold.
Trevor J. Hagans, 27, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for Theft and Receiving Stolen Property, fifth-degree felonies, and Misuse of a Credit Card, a first-degree misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Det. Tim Arnold.
Leanda K. Cline, 36, Mount Vernon was indicted for Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, a fourth-degree felony, and Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Cline is alleged to have been in possession of and selling Vyvanse, an ADHD drug. This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Tyler Berger.
Cyle E. Cunningham, 25, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for Having Weapons While Under Disability, a third-degree felony, and Receiving Stolen Property, a fourth-degree felony.
Colby A. Cunningham, 22, of Sylvester, Georgia was indicted for Inciting to Violence, a third-degree felony. Cyle Cunningham is alleged to have been in possession of a stolen firearm while chasing after someone. It is also alleged that Colby Cunningham encouraged Cyle to shoot this same person. Andrew Upton, 21, of Mount Vernon was indicted for Receiving Stolen Property, a fifth-degree felony. Upton is alleged to have been in possession of stolen tools from Ariel Corporation. This case was investigated by MVPD Det. Cpl. J. T. DeChant.
