Crash Reports
Jan. 19
- Brennon S. Masters was operating a semi truck and trailer and was westbound on E. Chestnut St. and stopped behind Jon P. Lorenzo who was stopped for a red light at the N. Main St. intersection. Masters began to move before Lorenzo moved and Masters struck Lorenzo in the rear. Masters was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
- Both Charles A. Hammons and Douglas L. Hull were traveling north on S. Main St. Hull stopped for traffic and was rear-ended by Hammons. Hammons was cited for assured cleat distance ahead.
- Caleb D. Smith was traveling north on S. Gay St. behind Colton B Skal. Skal stopped for traffic and Smith hit Skal in the rear. Smith was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
Jan. 20
- Jennifer Mae Swartz was traveling north on Newark Rd. and Timothy Linn Loughman was exiting the McDonald’s parking lot and attempting to turn left onto Newark Rd. Loughman stated as he turned left onto Newark Rd. he got into the turn lane and when he tried to get into the northbound lane his right front collided with Swartz’s left side. Loughman was cited for changing lanes without safety.
Jan. 21
- Carol J. Stockwell and Amber Dayton were both in the Starbrite Car ash bay. Stockwell was in front of Dayton. Prior to exiting the bay, Stockwell put her vehicle in reverse and struck Dayton. There were no injuries.
- Karen M. Miller was traveling west on W. Ohio Ave. Brittany Kaye Vilardo was traveling south on S. Mulberry St. Miller failed to stop for the red traffic signal and collided with Vilardo in the intersection. Miller was cited for a red light violation.
Jan. 23
- Levi D. Pflieger was traveling south from Marion St. before stopping at a stop sign. Pflieger made a right hand turn onto W. Pleasant St. then struck the guide wires of a utility pole. He was cited for failure to control.
Incident Reports
Jan.19
- An officer was advised there was a male in a green truck on W. Vine and S. Main streets who was rocking back and forth. The officer responded to check on the welfare of the male. The male was issued a summons for drug paraphernalia.
Jan. 20
- An officer was dispatched to PNC Bank for a male attempting to cash a fraudulent check. No charges have been filed.
- An officer responded to Follin Ave. in reference to a disturbance. Andre Plickered was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Jan. 21
- Officers responded to Michell Ave. on a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived they found David Cross inside the residence. Cross had been warned on previous calls on criminal trespass. Cross was arrested for criminal trespass and transported to Knox County jail without further incident.
- An officer received a complaint of a theft on W. Lamartine St. a report was filed for the alleged incident. No suspect has been identified. Extra patrol was requested for the residence.
Jan. 22
- Units were dispatched to W. Ohio St. for a possible burglary. The incident has been investigated and resolved.
Jan. 23
- Units were dispatched for a 9-1-1 hang up call from the area of W. Ohio St. The incident was investigated and resolved.
- Joshua Scarbury was arrested on two warrants issued by the Mansfield Police Department. No additional charges were filed.
