Accidents:
On 9/28/16, a vehicle driven by Roy Wortman was eastbound on Coshocton Ave. and stopped at a red light at Vernonview Drive. A vehicle driven by Jerry Thurston traveling west on Coshocton Ave. was also stopped at the Vernonviews Drive traffic light. Wortman turned right on red at the same time Thurston was turning left on a left turn only green light. Wortman did not yield and caused a collision with Thurston.
On 9/28/16, a vehicle driven by Chase W. Gallagher was traveling north on N. Sandusky St. and struck a vehicle driven by Penn K. Goins who was also trtaveling north on N. Sandusky St. in the rear when Goins stopped for a traffic signal.
Incidents:
On 9/28/16, police responded to a N. Gay St address on a found property incident.
On 9/27/16, a lost purse was reported to the Mount Vernon Police Department.
Arrests/citations:
Warren James, 49, W.Gambier St., was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Roy Wortman, 75, Woodside Dr., Gambier, was cited for failure to obey traffic control device.
Chase Gallagher, 20, Coshocton Rd., was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead.
