MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Fire Department will be conducting annual hydrant flushing in the northern half of the city during the month of September.
The Mount Vernon Fire Department will be conducting annual hydrant flushing in the northern half of the City during the month of September. The flushing is scheduled to begin around 8 a.m. and will conclude by 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Residents should refrain from using their washing machine to launder clothing during the above-mentioned times. Sudden drops in water pressure may be noted, but should correct themselves after a few short minutes.
Anyone experiencing very low pressure or are temporarily without water, should call the Mount Vernon Water Office at 393-9504 immediately.
