The Center for Individual and Family Services has purchased a property at 711 Scholl Road that it been acquiring through a “lease-to-own,” effort, according to Laura Montgomery, CEO at Catalyst Life Services.
The $300,000 purchase is one of 197 property transfers recently filed with the Richland County Auditor’s Office.
“Essentially, it’s no material changes for us,” Montgomery said Monday. “It is kind of exciting that we own the building now.”
The property is home to New Beginnings 1, a 16-bed inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for men.
According to the Catalyst website, “Our residential services provide a 24-hour supportive therapeutic environment with structured programming 7 days a week for individuals suffering from severe substance use disorders as well as co-occurring disorders. We offer gender-specific drug and alcohol programs, as we believe it provides the best opportunity for success.”
Catalyst purchased the property from Sterkel Realty, LLC, according to the paperwork filed.
