It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a devoted husband, loving father, brother, and beloved son, who left us too soon. His presence enriched the lives of all who knew him. He will truly live on in the hearts and memories of all those who had the opportunity to know him.
Jason Benjamin Negrin, age 47, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was born on October 24, 1978, to Scott and Darlene Negrin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brittany; his five sons, Jason Negrin, Brian Negrin, Dominic Davis, Luke Negrin, and Cayden Hunt; his parents, Scott and Darlene; his brother, Christopher (Karli) Negrin; the mother of his children, Kelly Coulter, and a large, extended family of beloved in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Born on October 24, 1978, he grew up surrounded by family and friends who shaped his compassionate spirit. His parents Scott and Darlene lovingly supported him, helping him grow into the wonderful man he became. They ensured he was always surrounded by family and friends, nurturing his caring personality. His brother Christopher was his first best friend, and together they shared a special bond. Every morning, Darlene and Scott, along with Jason and Christopher, participated in a cherished routine known as “the daily chat.” These conversations set a positive tone for the day and kept the family closely connected, reinforcing their love and unity.
Jason’s parents raised him to love Jehovah, and he was baptized at the age of 14. He was a faithful servant of Jehovah and treasured the years he spent at Bethel. Jason was known to avoid confrontation and was a true peacemaker. Jason fathered three sons: Jason, Brian, and Luke, with Kelly Coulter. Being a father was the greatest joy of his life. He was very proud of his children and spoke about them with such admiration, praise, and the upmost love for them. He constantly strived to serve Jehovah and encouraged his children to do the same. Though it was not enough, they will forever be grateful for the time they had together. They are certain he is in Jehovah’s memory, and can not wait to see him again, and make sure he knows just how loved he is.
In January 2021, he married the love of his life, Brittany, and gained two more sons, Dominic and Cayden. Together they built a life filled with cherished memories, laughter, travel, and fun. They loved every moment they got to spend together and counted down the minutes they were apart until they could see each other again. You never saw one without the other. They spent their days sitting in the garden, planning future travels, and laughing endlessly. Their love was a rare and beautiful thing. An undeniable bond visible to all-a bright, warm energy that radiated off them and touched everyone who crossed their path. Jason loved Dominic and Cayden like his own and formed such a strong bond with them. They loved going out to eat and shopping for and talking about cologne. Jason was so happy to be able to be there for them in life no matter what they needed and was very proud of how much they had grown since he first met them. They will strive to always carry forward his legacy of kindness, warmth, and joy.
He is deeply missed by his parents, Darlene and Scott, whose unwavering support shaped him into the caring person he became. His siblings, Christopher, sister-in-law- Karli, and his nephew, Rooke, cherish their special bond and the countless moments spent together. Jason’s memory lives on in the hearts of his extended family, including his in-laws, Echo and Rich Casteel, and Bobby and Sharon Davis, his sister and brother-in-laws who all loved him dearly, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as the close friends and spiritual family who were such an important part of his life. Each of them remembers him with affection and gratitude for the time they shared. Jason was truly cherished by all who knew him—as a beloved husband, devoted father, caring brother, and loving son.
His warmth, laughter, and radiant spirit touched the lives of everyone around him, leaving lasting memories that will never fade. The love he shared and the joy he brought to his family and friends remain a guiding light, inspiring all who remember him.
