Gary L. Dudgeon, 75 of Marengo, passed away on June 5, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. Gary was born on October 13, 1950 to the late William and Carol (Trimmer) Dudgeon in Mount Vernon, OH.
Gary graduated from Highland High School, Class of 1969. He started working at Ranco in Delaware as a senior in high school. He was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Vietnam. Returning home he went back to work at Ranco and remained there until retiring after 40+ years. Gary then started doing siding and windows for a few years. Gary loved being outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman. He was a longtime member of the Sunbury VFW.
Gary is survived by his wife Janet (Moore) whom he married September 1st, 1984; Sons William “Bill” (Mindy) Dudgeon, Jeremy Dudgeon, Daughters Wendi (Allen) Smith, Marie Boyd (David Judson); 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; Sister Valli Linger, Brothers Brad (Bonnie) Dudgeon, David (Diana) Dudgeon; Brother-in-Law Dave Moore, Sister-in-Law Elizabeth Moore and many nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his Brother-in-Law Gary Linger, Niece Tracy (Linger) Fails along with her Husband Chuck Fails, Mother-in-Law Ellen Moore, Brother-In-Law Earl Moore and Nieces Beth Anne Barnes and Lisa Moore.

Calling hours will be Friday, June 12, 2026 at Snyder Funeral Home – DeVore Chapel, 637 OH-61, Sunbury, OH 43074 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with a Funeral Service at 1:00. Casual attire is welcomed.
After the service you are all invited to the Sunbury Post VFW 8736, 435 McGill St, Sunbury, OH 43074 for a time of celebration for Gary.
