Irene D. Lechner, age 90, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her residence in the afternoon on March 27th. She was born in Denmark, Wisconsin on April 29, 1935, to the late Urban and Christine (Blahnik) Loberger.

Irene graduated from Denmark High School (Denmark, WI) in 1953 and earned her registered nursing degree at Mt. Sinai Nursing School (Milwaukee, WI) in 1956. She moved to Germany in 1962 and worked at Landstuhl Army Hospital where she met Stephen (her husband) in 1964. They married on January 30, 1965 and raised three beautiful children. Irene found great purpose being a mother.

Irene also enjoyed helping people throughout her nursing career. She was a decorative artist and loved painting with her seminar friends. Irene also enjoyed gardening, her flowers and quiet time reading. She was raised Catholic and her religious beliefs framed her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Lechner Sr; children, Stephen Lechner Jr (Anne Tableau) Colorado, Thomas Lechner (Sherri Workman) Ohio, and Ann Lechner (Todd Kasulke) Wisconsin; three grandchildren Simone Lechner, Oscar Lechner and RyLee Lechner.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
