Steven M. Raymond, age 69, of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio.

He was born on July 23, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Paul and Pauline (Maple) Raymond.

Steven dedicated his career to construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic and skillful craftsmanship. Outside of work, he found great joy in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating, often spending his free time surrounded by nature.

Steven had a natural talent for working with his hands. He took pride in creating wooden boxes and had a special interest in repairing pendulum watches, a hobby that reflected his patience and attention to detail.

He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his creativity, and his love for simple pleasures in life.

Steven is survived by his son, Jeremy Paul (Meleah) Raymond, seven grandchildren, Kurtis, Sydney, Kaili, Mariah, Nevaeh, Kennedy, and Isabella, a great-grandson, Chase, a brother, Charles Raymond of Columbus, two sisters, Rosemary Raymond of Mount Vernon, and Sue Raymond of Columbus, and a special friend Mary Beth Burns.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will observe a graveside service in Glen Rest Cemetery in Reynoldsburg at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Steven M. Raymond.
