MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Career Center’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officer
Training Corps (AFJROTC) Unit was recognized during its annual Air Force inspection.
KCCC’s AFJROTC unit scored 98.5% (A) and earned an overall rating of “Exceeds Standards” for the unit assessment, the highest rating attainable.
Cadets Leeam Stoddard and James Doss were recognized as AFJROTC Top Performers for their unit.
“This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication and leadership of Lt. Col. (Retired) Christopher Salvucci and Master Sgt. (Retired) Richard Primm, who deserve special recognition for mentoring and guiding KCCC’s cadets,” said Dwayne Gray, regional director and inspector, AFJROTC.
Gray added, “The instructors and cadets exceeded the standard on nine assessment
checklist items and had zero discrepancies–a noteworthy accomplishment.”
