WOOSTER- Lois Faye (Strouse) Blanchard, 95, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.

She was born July 23, 1930 in Holmes Co. to the late Robert W. and Twila Beatrice (Matheny) Strouse. She married her husband of 75 years, William P. Blanchard on Oct. 23, 1948, who preceded her in death April 13, 2024.

After her children left home, Lois went back to school and completed her LPN degree. She then worked as a nurse at the Ohio Eastern Star Home. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Central Christian Church. Lois enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed attending family reunions.

She is survived by her children, Ken (Cynthia) Blanchard of Apple Creek, Carol Blanchard of Deep River, CT, and Becky (Mike) McAuley of Holiday, FL; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Duane Strouse, Peggy Jones, Jerry Strouse, and Tom Strouse.

Private family funeral services will take place at Union Grove Church of Christ, with Pastor Randy Mumaw officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. FischerFuneralHome.com
