MOUNT VERNON — New Directions will host the fifth annual EmpowHER event on Friday, March 13, at Kenyon’s Lowry Center.
Doors open at 5 pm with a buffet dinner at 6:15. A keynote presentation and awards will follow at 7:45.
This year’s theme is “Vogue Presence: Where Your Voice Leads, Change Follows.” The event recognizes International Women’s Day by celebrating, uplifting, and amplifying the voices of women and girls in Knox County.
The evening offers attendees the opportunity to honor local women for their resilience, leadership, and impact.
They can also shop and mingle at a pre-event marketplace featuring local women-owned businesses while connecting with fellow attendees.
Tickets can be purchased individually, as a half table, or a full table. All tickets include event entry, dinner and beverages, and access to the open bar.

Also include your name, contact information, number of tickets requested, and your payment option of Venmo, PayPal or invoice.
New Directions will confirm your table and/or tickets. Confirmation emails will be sent in the order in which emails are received (via date and timestamp) requesting the table and/or tickets.
New Directions will include payment information in the confirmation email, depending on the payment option you selected.

New Directions is also seeking vendors and sponsors for the event.

New Directions offers several levels of sponsorship for leaders who want to boldly invest in women and community change.
•Empowerment Champion – $2,500 – 1 available
•Award Sponsor – $500 – 4 available
•Vogue Editor – $250 – unlimited
Every sponsorship directly supports New Directions’ mission to uplift, empower, and amplify the voices of women and girls in Knox County.
“Together, we don’t just celebrate empowerment. We fund it, model it, and move it forward,” Lamp said.

Vendor information
Vendors have the opportunity to present their businesses to an engaged audience of women eager to support women-owned businesses and community entrepreneurs.
Setup times are from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 3 pm to 4:45 pm. All vendors must be set up by 4:45 as doors open at 5 pm. An 8-foot table with a white tablecloth is provided.
Vendor packages include full access to the event, including dinner, beverages, open bar, entertainment, and seating. It also includes the opportunity to showcase and sell products and services, network with fellow business owners and community leaders, and promotion on New Directions’ social media platforms.
